The new house remodel is…well, somewhat. So far, we have primed the walls in all the rooms that will be painted, and taken up the carpet in 2 of those rooms. We have also finished painting our master bedroom and bathroom, and most of the kitchen! I really love the colors we’ve chosen, and cannot wait to see the final product. I’ve been painting a bit some days here and there. Until we pull up more carpet, though, no more painting can be done because of the state of the carpet (it’s seriously grody).
Here is our bedroom. The shade is called Apple Brown Betty…it’s sort of a brown-ish red…or reddish brown?
Here’s the kitchen. It’s mostly done except for a few small areas that needed some putty work. The colors here are Azalea Leaf and Chocolate Truffle. I’m really happy with how well the colors go together.
This is a close-up of the kitchen colors. I did touch up the blue later on…I did the initial coat with a paintbrush on this particular wall. The fridge will go here, though, so I’m not overly concerned with it.
Lastly, this is the master bathroom. We weren’t planning to paint it at first, the walls were painted white. I decided since I had so much blue paint left over, though, that I’d go ahead and make the bathroom pretty! I’m happy with how the blue looks in there. That white door there will be painted the same brown as is in the kitchen.
Speaking of bathrooms (and water, right?) we had several pipe leaks to fix. A couple of them were mostly easy fixes, but there are leaks behind/near the tubs in BOTH bathrooms. We will definitely have to remove some wall panels to get to them. I’m really hoping that those won’t be costly fixes, so please be prayer with us for those “opportunities.”
I also know that I’m not the best painter. I did have help from a few kids painting the bathroom, which was actually nice, because otherwise it would have taken me a bit longer. What do you think so far?!
