My husband is on vacation this week, and since we’ll be super busy with family time, I’m not posting my Menu Plan Monday this week. I hope y’all have a happy and safe Independence Day!

Tales from the Circle C Ranch~A Schoolhouse Crew Review
Earlier this year my daughter Rachelle and I reviewed a book by Susan K. Marlow titled Thick as Thieves, a book based in California during pioneer times. Well, we were given the opportunity to review another book from Circle C Adventures, titled Tales from the Circle C Ranch, as well as a corresponding lapbook, Andrea Carter’s Tales from the Circle C Ranch Learning Lapbook. At the time of posting, the book is $7.99 plus shipping, and the lapbook cost varies from $7 for the download to $12 for the print version. You can also save a little money by purchasing both the book and lapbook together for $19!
SmartKidz Media ~ A Schoolhouse Crew Review
We recently dropped our satellite service. We’ve subscribed to a couple of streaming services for a while, and that’s so much more affordable than cable or satellite. A few weeks ago, our family was given a year’s access to SmartKidz Media Library for Homeschoolers from SmartKidz Media. The cost of the service is $10 per month, or $99 per year, plus you receive a 14-day free trial. This cost is comparable to most other streaming services. You can access the content via computer, tablet, smart TVs with a browser, and Roku 3, although some features will only work on a computer or mobile phone capable of running Flash.
Weekly Menu Link-up 6/22-6/28/15
Hey everyone, welcome back to another Menu Plan Monday! I hope you had a great week last week. The weather has been pretty hot (for us, anyway) so we’ve been eating a lot of sandwiches for supper lately. Even though the sandwiches are cooked, or at least part of them are, it’s not enough to heat the whole house up.
Monday ~ Fried Bologna Sandwiches with Chips
Tuesday ~ Fried Chicken with Fried Squash (fresh from the garden!)
Wednesday ~ Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Thursday ~ Potato/Hamburger Hash with Spinach
Friday ~ Fried Bologna Sandwiches
Saturday ~ Stir-Fry with Jasmine Rice
Sunday ~ Grilled Hamburgers
As you can see, it’s a pretty simple supper week this week. If you’re posting your menu, I’d love for you to link up with me this week so we can all see! I would love for you to link back to me in your post as well.

WordBuildOnline ~ A Schoolhouse Crew Review
I love words. I mean, without words, we wouldn’t have language, and most of the time that would be a bad thing, right? Vocabulary is pretty important, though, especially for a grammar nerd like me. I really want my kids to have a substantial vocabulary list in their brains, so when we were given access to WordBuildOnline from Dynamic Literacy, I knew this would be something useful for us, and maybe even fun! Issac and Ethan were the lucky reviewers for me for this product. This will work on a Mac or PC.
Weekly Menu Plan Monday and Linkup 6/15-6/21/2015
Hello, and welcome to this week’s Menu Monday! Last week was a hot and somewhat rainy week here in TN. Lucas’ team finished up the t-ball tournaments on Saturday. I was told that their team came in 3rd for the regular season. It was so fun watching the kids play!
You’ll notice soup beans are on the menu again this week. That’s because I was still sick last Monday and didn’t fix any beans that day. Here’s my menu plan for the week!
Monday ~ Mac & Cheese
Tuesday ~ Soup Beans w/corn bread
Wednesday ~ Fried Chicken
Thursday ~ Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Friday ~ Bacon-Ranch Meatloaf
Saturday ~ Grilled Hamburgers and Chicken
Sunday ~ Eating at in-laws’
As always, I’m using a couple of recipes from the $5 Dollar Menu Plan. The 2 recipes this week are new to us, but sound so delicious! The Cumin Pork Roast from last week was a hit. It’s great eaten with tortilla chips. You can sign up and get a 14-day free trial without giving any credit card information.
What’s on your menu this week? Be sure to link up with me here!
